New Disney World Attractions, Shows, and Lands Coming This Fall

Are you curious about what New Disney World Attractions, shows, and lands will be available this fall? I have the insider scoop on what to expect on your Disney Vacation this year!

Disney Social Media Celebration

I got to spend a magical day at the Disney Social Media Celebration Conference last week and it was filled with education, inspiration, sneak peeks, and lots of Pixie Dust.  Learning how many new attractions that would be happening in the coming months was astounding and I am excited to start sharing all the magic with you!

The ever-changing attractions are what keep so many coming back to see what has arrived. As a die-hard Disney fan, I love it when new shows and attractions make their way into the parks.  It gives those who go to the parks frequently something new to get excited about.  Plus, Disney has an amazing way of adding modern attractions without taking away from the original signature favorites, like my 10-year-olds twin’s favorite rides are Carousel of Progress and It’s a Small World while my teenager loves Pandora.

There is so much new coming in, here are a few highlights of what to expect at your next trip.

Epcot Fireworks Switches Over

Epcot Fireworks Show, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth will be switching to Epcot Forever on October 1st. This is one talked about transition that has park enthusiasts excited.  You will be able to experience all-new dazzling firework displays, able to enjoy laser effects, and really capture a whole new enjoyable night show at the Disney World.  Epcot Forever is only temporary though, as a show to celebrate the park’s past, present, and future it will continue into 2020 when new spectacular nighttime show will debut as part of Epcot’s multi-year transformation.

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge

The Galaxy’s Edge will be opening on August 29th of 2019 and is undoubtedly the most talked-about addition to Disney World this year.  They will offer a handful of new attractions, shopping locations, and food choices while Star Wars fans are immersed in the planet of Batuu.  Star Wars has certainly become a staple at Hollywood Studios and it is even rumored that a Star Wars-themed hotel is in the process of being created for visitors in the years to come.

The two ride attractions coming to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge are:

  • Millennium Falcom: Smugglers Run |  Have you ever flown in a starship before? No! Well in Batuu you will have the opportunity to control the fastest ship in the galaxy!  You will ride in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon acting as the pilot, engineer, or gunner. Debuting on August 29th when the Star Wars area opens.
  • Rise of The Resistance |  Accept a secret mission to help the Resistance rise with the help of Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, and BB-8!  This thrilling attraction will open on December 5th, 2019.

Many are impatiently counting down the days till the grand opening takes place and they can see the incredible layout for themselves.

The Incredibles at Pixar Place

Fan of the Incredibles? If you say yes, you can check out The Incredibles at Pixar Place through September 30th this year. All the favorite and popular characters will be roaming around to interact with, snap pictures and more.

Disney Skyliner

On September 29th, 2019 the Disney Skyliner will debut with a fun new way to get around Walt Disney World.  This will be the first time you can have an aerial view over the Hollywood Studio, Epcot, and several Disney Resorts!  If you are staying at one of the four Disney Resorts that the Skyliner stops at, you will have a fun new way to get to the parks beyond the buses and boats.

The 4 Disney Resorts on the Skyliner Route are Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort.

Have you seen the shirts that say “The Monorail is my favorite ride”?,  well I remember when my kids were little we would do loop after loop on the monorail before getting off at a resort.  Like the monorail, I think the Disney Skyliner is going to transform the way we get around at the Disney Resorts, saving us time, making transportation easier, all while incorporating a fun park-like experience.

NBA Experience at Disney Springs

Calling all basketball fans of all ages the NBA Experience at Disney Springs will be opening August 12th, 2019.  This is one attraction basketball fans won’t want to miss. Get on the court, play some games, give trivia a try and more. You can shop the fan store with all your favorite gear, that you won’t find anywhere else. This experience gives you that behind the scenes feel that will make you walk away feeling extra special.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Fireworks

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is an amazing event put on every fall at The Magic Kingdom from August 16th through November 1st,  It is filled with candy, costumes, and your favorite characters dressed up.  However, this year Mickey is adding some extra magic to the party with the debut of a new fireworks show “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular”. The fall season is certainly setting itself up to be an amazing time to be at Disney World.  You will find all different kinds of attractions and events to take part in that are different than other times of the year. Holidays make Disney even more magical! What I love is there are new events for all ages. Parents will love the NBA experience, Star Wars, and more. Kids will go crazy for all their favorite characters, attractions, and it is a vacation everyone will enjoy.

Plus, once all these attractions are open, it will only be a tap of Cinderella’s wand before it is the start of the holiday season at Disney, which is my absolute favorite time to visit the castle.

What are you most excited about for this fall lineup?
