Heart Cookie Cutter
1 cup of Chocolate Chips for Melting
Red food coloring
1 Box of Good and Plenty candy
How to Make Mickey Themed Sugar Cookies for Valentine’s Day
First, prepare your sugar cookie mix as the packaging directs then add in the red food coloring until the cookie batter is the color you would like.
Next, spread out the colored sugar cookie dough smoothly on a cookie sheet and bake the dough according to the package instructions then let it cool off completely.
Once the sheet cookie has cooled completely, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the heart-shaped sugar cookies.
Next to add the mickey themed touches, start by placing the chocolate chips into the microwave for 1 minute and then stir the chocolate. Continue heating the chocolate for 30-second intervals until it is completely smooth and melted.
Once the chocolate is melted, dip each heart-shaped cookie into the chocolate to cover the rounded ends.
Then to mimic Mickey’s waist, place two of the white Good and Plenty candies on the front of each cookie. Attach the candy by placing a small dot of melted chocolate on the back of the candy and place them parallel to each other on the cookies as seen in the photos.
To complete the cookie, put them on a cookie sheet and place them in the freezer until the chocolate is completely hardened.
These are the perfect treat for any Disney fan with a sweet tooth! Perhaps a fun way to tell the kids about your next magical trip?
