Easy Mint Science Experiment for Kids and Printable Workbook

Looking for something fun to help pass the time? This Easy Mint Science Experiment for Kids is just what you need! They’ll love watching one of their favorite treats be used for something else besides snacking. (just be certain to save some mints for them to enjoy as well – it’s all part of the fun!)

The great thing about science experiments at home is that the kids can be as hands-on as they want. There aren’t many experiments that the kids can do all on their own but this simple activity is one! All they need are three easy supplies and they’ll be able to do this experiment over and over again, or until they run out of mints!

Make certain that you get ones that are different in coloring as well so that they can create a rainbow of colors if they choose. There are so many fun ways that they can do this experiment. And since they’ll just be putting them in water, they can even eat them once they’re done!

Another fun way to explore this fun experiment is to challenge them to use other candies as well. Skittles would work well for this as would any type of candy that has coloring on it that could “melt” off because of the hot water.

Just put a towel underneath and let them have fun! (This is also a simple way to use up candy in the house that you might have leftover from Halloween or other holidays!)
