With the cold weather approaching, it’s time to start thinking about using your crockpot to whip up some yummy Crock Pot Hot Cocoa. It will warm you and your tummy right up! 

If your children are anything like mine, they probably love to be outside in the cold weather for what feels like forever. It’s amazing how they can play and play in the snow, but the moment that they come inside, they instantly have to be warmed up.

This is where this delicious Crock Pot Hot Cocoa recipe comes into play! It’s simple. quick and crazy good. I may be guilty of taking a few sips here and there before the kids come in from the cold weather…hey, a Mom’s gotta test out her final product, right?

Make certain to let your kids have fun with their hot chocolate toppings as well. Marshmallows, whipped cream, and even some fun winter-themed sprinkles are always a good idea to have on hand. I’m also a fan of chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips on top!

Part of the benefits of playing in the cold weather is that you get to then warm up with a nice cup of hot cocoa! Your kids will love this delicious recipe, and you will too! 

Crock Pot Hot Cocoa Recipe

Ingredients for crockpot hot cocoa

2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
6 cup Milk
2 tsp Vanilla
Pinch of Salt
 

How to Make Hot Cocoa in the Crock Pot

Add all ingredients to slow cooker and stir until well mixed and chips are spread around the bottom.
 
Cook on low setting for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
 
 
Once warmed up, the hot chocolate is done!  How easy is that?
