The 4th of July is a time to celebrate America with family and friends. It’s a day for fireworks, BBQ’s and of course sweet treats. What could be better than a delicious, sweet, and fun-to-eat treat? Say hello to the 4th of July Marshmallow Covered Firecracker Recipe!

Ingredients You Need To Make Marshmallow Firecrackers

  • Marshmallows
  • Red Wilton Candy Melts
  • Black Licorice Candy

How to Make TNT Marshmallows

Start by preparing your candy melts according to the package instructions, and place them into a thin cup or bowl.

Next use a fork or skewer to dip each of your marshmallows completely into the melted red candy and place them on parchment paper or a drying rack.

To create the firecracker look, cut your black licorice into 1 inch pieces and slice them length wise four times. Then use a skewer or stick to push the licorice into the tops of the marshmallows to create the light up fuse look.

Finally set aside for the candy melt to completly dry and harden, then serve up these sweet fircrackers!

Instructions

    1. Prepare your candy melts according to the instructions, and place them into a thin cup or bowl. 
    2. Use a fork or skewer to sip each of your marshmallows completely into the red candy melts, and place them on parchment paper or a drying rack. 
    3. Slice your clack licorice into 1-inch pieces, and cut lengthwise four times. 
    4. Use a skewer or stick to push the licorice into the tops of the marshmallows to create the fuses. 
    5. Set aside to dry, then serve!
