Peanut Butter Nests Recipe for Candy Eggs
Makes 16 Nests
Ingredients:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 6-8 cups cornflakes
- 6oz chocolate (we used Hershey’s kisses)
- 64 Mini Eggs
Instructions:
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt peanut butter and chocolate and mix until well combined.
- As soon as the mixture is properly melted and combined, add your powdered sugar and mix thoroughly.
- Into a separate mixing bowl, pour 4 cups of the measured-out cornflakes and stir in PB & chocolate mixture
- Mix to evenly coat cornflakes, adding your remaining cereal 1 cup at a time until you reach your desired consistency. (I ended up only using 7 cups for this batch. Some require more, some require less)
- Scoop the cornflake mixture into the paper-lined muffin tins. Shape into a nest either using your fingers (careful! It may be hot!) or the back of a spoon.
- Place 4 mini eggs into each nest.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before consuming or until the chocolate has set.
