Simple and Delicious Holiday Appetizer Recipe
I host Christmas dinner every year, I was voted in because I’m the one with 3 kids who would be lugging their new toys around. I absolutely love it, Christmas is my favorite time of the year, but let’s keep it real, it is exhausting! My kids are still at that magical age when they don’t want to fall asleep on Christmas Eve because Santa is coming and wake up before the sun rises with that magical look on their face that easily drags me out of bed. By the time my family begins to arrive, I have been up for hours building all the things, opening all the things, and praying I remembered to get enough batteries for ALL THE THINGS.
Luckily my family is laid back and we usually sit around munching on appetizers for a few hours before dinner is even a thought. However, easy appetizers that also taste amazing are my favorites. The appetizer that gets made every year during the holidays, and for every cookout or get together is Italian Cucumber Sandwiches. Everyone who has ever tried them raves about them, and they only take me about 10 minutes to make, huge busy mom win!
Italian Cucumber Sandwiches Recipe
Ingredients to Make Triscuit Cucumber Sandwiches
A packet of Italian Dressing Seasoning
8oz Package of Whipped Cream Cheese
Box of Triscuit
You can use any flavor or Triscuit crackers you would like. I often switch up the flavors to give the recipe a new twist. So far my favorite flavors are Original, Garden Herb, and Dill Sea salt and Olive Oil.
How to Make Triscuit Cucumber Sandwiches
Start by mixing the cream cheese and the packet of dry Italian dressing mix until the seasoning is completely combined. Next, chop the cucumber into thin slices.
Once the ingredients are prepared, spread the cream cheese mixture onto each Triscuit and top with a cucumber slice.
That’s it, done! Simple and Easy!
This recipe is quick and made with ingredients I always have on hand, especially the Triscuit crackers. I constantly have Triscuit boxes around my home, for a quick snack when I’m running the kids around or helping with homework, or at my desk when I need something crunchy to munch on to stay focused. Plus, Triscuit crackers are available at Walmart, where I do my family’s shopping multiple times a week, so it is also convenient for me to stock all the yummy flavors I want to try throughout the week.
Cucumber Sandwiches is my family’s go-to snack because it’s tried and true in my home, but the Triscuit recipe options are endless! Check out some other yummy creation here.
Did you know Triscuit is baked with 100% Whole Grain Wheat and now NON GMO?
