Spring Cleaning Tips For Cleaning The Bathroom

If you are thinking of tackling your home and getting some spring cleaning done, let me share some tips for cleaning the bathroom looking and smelling fresh!  Spring cleaning is a great way to de-clutter from the year! Get rid of clothes you no longer wear, organize your closets, clean out your medicine cabinets, and more.

Today I have partnered with ScriptSave® WellRx to want to focus on cleaning your bathroom top to bottom and saving money when you restock that medicine cabinet! This will leave your bathroom looking fresh and clean and get you set for a whole new year! The bathroom can be one of the dirtiest places in the whole house, so it should be a room you really clean well!

Tackling the Bathroom for Spring Cleaning

Cabinets: Make sure to start with your cabinets. Take out all the items, dust the shelves, and organize your products and such. Great time to check to see if any beauty products are expired and need to be tossed, wash any bedding or towels that haven’t been used in a while.

Medicine Cabinet: If you have a medicine cabinet, make sure to take time to look over all your medicines for any that are outdated and expired. Wipe down your shelves and put your medicines back in the cupboard.

  • Tips to Save on Prescriptions: If you are looking for more affordable prescriptions consider using ScriptSave® WellRx, it is a free card/app that you can access online or download on your smartphone for free. It requires no credit card, and there are no membership fees. This is a great app or site to use because prescriptions can really add up, so getting great savings is worth trying!
  • If you are like some, insurance doesn’t mean low-cost prescriptions. But with the ScriptSave WellRx program, you can get help to cut down the cost of your prescriptions!

  • Now know, that prescription prices do change daily, and that is why sometimes your medicine might be $35 and other times it is $22. With the ScriptSave WellRx pricing tool, you use it each time you are ready for a prescription and they will help find the best pharmacy to refill.

As many of you know, Aidan has autism spectrum disorder.  There was a point in time when my husband and I had to make the decision to try medication for his hyperactivity and lack of sleep.  We went through several medications until we found the one that lasted through the school day without causing him any side effects.  The problem was this medication cost over $350!  This was the first medication I searched for with Script Save WellRX, and I can refill it at the same pharmacy we are using for under $200.  That’s a huge saving!
However, that’s not the only prescription we’re saving on.  Between Lilly’s asthma, my husband’s cholesterol problems, and my chronic pain and arthritis, my family fills over ten prescriptions a month, some months it is over 20 prescriptions.  I have searched the prescriptions I will be filling at the end of the month and I can potentially save over $300.  ScriptSave WellRX is going to make my family’s medication costs a lot more manageable, and I am incredibly thankful for that!

Shower: Next you want to move on to spraying down your shower and working on wiping it all down. If you have some soap scum buildup let it sit while you work on the rest of your bathroom.

Counters and Mirrors: Wipe down any counters and mirrors, getting it all nice and clean. I like to make sure my counters are nice and decluttered, maybe add some flowers to freshen it up.

Toilet: Next tackle your toilet, make sure to clean the inside and around the base of the outside. If you have to let it sit for a little bit to work inside the toilet to get rid of any rings.

Floors: Lastly you will want to sweep and mop the flooring. Then you are fully finished with the bathroom!
