      1. Mohonk Preserve 

First and foremost, with over eight thousand beautiful acres of cliffs, streams, lakes, cliffs, and forests, Mohonk Preserve is one of the most popular lakes to visit, especially during the end of summer and the beginning of fall.

This is an amazing place for nature lovers of all ages, Mohonk Preserve is just under ninety miles from the heart of New York City, yet it feels as if it is a lifetime away. Everyone from horse riders, trail runners, cyclists, and hikers feel truly at home in such a stunning natural area.

      2. Lake George 

Reserve America is the go-to place for Americans looking for an idyllic and truly atmospheric place to spend the holiday season in nature. No better example of such a place is Lake George.

Embedded in the center of the Adirondacks, New York’s Lake George offers people looking for a vacation, everything they could want, from relaxing and remote picnic areas by the lakeside to adrenaline-inducing paddleboarding and whitewater rafting opportunities further down the water. 

As a general rule, Lake George is the busiest with tourists between May and September, where the temperature is usually between seventy and eighty degrees Fahrenheit, although if you want to see more wildlife in the area, then closer to November is always the best.

Located in the center of Minnewaska State Park Preserve, Kerhonkson Lake is surrounded by lush forests and rugged, sparse landscapes, which make for the most incredible exploration of the natural environment when you choose to vacation here.

The entire park spans a huge twenty-two-thousand acres and boasts fifty entirely different treks and trails of varying difficulties and as well as a rock-climbing mecca at the stunning Dickie Barre cliffs.

Hunter Mountain boasts the country’s most complicated and frightening series of zip lines, the longest excursion of which takes a shocking three hours from start to finish. The Sky Rider tour’s ziplines reach an impressive six hundred feet from the ground and include two long miles of ride that can reach up to fifty miles per hour, so gather your nerves and prepare for the ride of your life!
