School Lunch Packing Tips
Back to school time is right around the corner and in my house, that means lots of school lunches that need to be packed. With 3 children, coming up with yummy lunch ideas that everyone will be happy with 5 days a week can be difficult. The kids, of course, want something tasty and cool, while I need to make sure it’s nutritious and filling enough to nourish them throughout the rest of their school day and keep them on top of their learning game.

Creating the Perfect Summer Afternoon
The summer is dwindling down here in Florida, the kids only have 3 weeks left of school break and we are trying to cram in as much family fun as possible in before the first school bell rings. One of our favorite things to do is to ride our bikes as a family to one of the local playgrounds. We have such amazing bike trails here in Tampa Bay that a nice bike ride followed by a picnic and some time on the swings is a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Summer is almost here! My kids start school break next week, so I am working overtime to come up with fun summer ideas that are simple yet memorable. I realized a few months ago when it came down to deciding about traveling this summer, that my children have spent too many summers constantly on the go. While these extravagant summers have been a huge blessing, I also want them to experience and appreciate the laid-back neighborhood fun activities that I remember so fondly from my childhood.
So, this summer we have cut our travel time down and we are going to enjoy the simpleness of a summer without constant routines. I can’t wait to do things like eat candy at the park, have ice cream for dinner, enjoy late night swims, and flashlight tag.

A huge thanks to Coca-Cola Florida and ZooTampa for sponsoring this post so we could experience the new Roaring Springs Ride, all opinions are my own!
Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park
Zoo Tampa has a new name and a new ride but it’s still the same zoo we fell in love with years ago! We first came to the Lowry Park Zoo, now Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park 4 years ago while on vacation, since moving here we’ve been to all their holiday events and every time we visit I am more impressed.
