Travel size sunblock

Sunburns don’t just happen at the beach and pool. You never know when you might be spending a little extra time outdoors, so carry a travel size sunblock cream or stick with you. This way, no matter what your plans include, you can be sure your skin is protected.

Dollar store sunglasses

Grab an extra pair of back up sunglasses at the dollar store in case your good pair break or turn up lost. These are also nice to have on hand when kids complain about the sun or need some extra protection. You don’t have to do anything fancy, just a simple and cheap back up pair will do.

Drink mix packets

Staying hydrated in the summer months is important. Carry some single size/travel drink mix packets with you so you can easily turn bottled water into a nutrient-filled and tasty beverage. You can find these with vitamin c added and other vitamins as well.

First aid essentials

You don’t have to go overboard with the first aid essentials. In fact, just an empty Altoids container with a few band-aids, some antibiotic ointment, and tape will do. Most dollar stores sell these items in travel size so you can easily compile a small grab and go assortment. This way you are ready for the ballpark, amusement park, and beach boo boo’s that happen.
