Spring has sprung and it’s starting to feel like summer here in Florida.  This means lots of family fun outside and lots of Fresh from Florida produce in the kitchen.  I love bubbly drinks but try to keep soda out of my house as much as possible, so when I found the recipe for Florida Watermelon Fizz on the Fresh From Florida website I was excited to try it, and it was a huge hit with my whole family!

Since moving to Florida, the Fresh From Florida site has become one of my go-to sites when planning my families meals.  They have delicious recipes, lists of which fruits and veggies are currently in season, and all the stores and markets you can buy local produce in your area.

Florida Farmers make it so easy for everyone to eat fresh produce year around!  Within a 5-mile radiance, there are over a dozen farmers markets held on various days of the week, Plus, my local grocery stores are always well stocked with produce featuring the Fresh From Florida logo.

In Florida, something delicious is always in season, and right now Watermelons are!  My family practically lives off watermelon all summer, so I grabbed a few while I was at my local Publix last week.

We ate pieces plain while enjoying time at the beach, we made popsicles and ice cubes, and best of all made the Florida Watermelon Fizz for the first time, that will definitely turn into a delicious beverage staple in my house!

Check out the recipe for the Florida Watermelon Fizz and make sure you give it a try, it’s very easy and you won’t be disappointed.
