4 Animal Kingdom Attractions You Shouldn’t Miss! + An Amazing Giveaway
The Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite Disney Parks, it offers such a unique experience, unlike any other theme park or zoo. While every attraction is incredible, I am sharing 4 Animal Kingdom Attractions You Shouldn’t Miss! Make sure you plan a day or two to explore as much of this park as possible, and if you need more help planning your Disney Vacation, Check out my Ultimate Disney World Vacation Planning Guide.
4 Must-See Animal Kingdom Attractions
One of our favorite Disney Parks as a family right now is the Animal Kingdom. My kids are huge animal lovers, my husband loves the rides, and I like the entire atmosphere of the park from Africa to Asia it’s a great experience to see through my children’s eyes. This used to be a park I could complete in half a day, but with the addition of Pandora and the night time additions, Animal Kingdom is now a park I like to stay at from morning until far past when the sun goes down. However, no matter how much time you have allocated, there are certain Animal Kingdom attractions that should not be missed.
Pandora The World Of Avatar
This is a no-brainer, and unless you are lucky enough to score a fast pass to one of these attractions this area will take several hours to get through. There are two rides in Pandora Avatar Flight of Passage and the Na’vi River Journey. Avatar Flight of Passage is an absolute must-ride attraction at the Animal Kingdom. Even if the line seems ridiculously long, grab a spot because this is hands down one of the best rides in all of Disney World. While in Pandora visit Pongu Pongu and enjoy a refreshing Night Blossom, before heading out towards Africa. If you have a chance to visit Pandora at night, the beautiful views become even more enchanted as the floors glow and glisten.
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Another must-see Animal Kingdom attraction is Kilimanjaro Safaris. Take a seat in the Safari jeep and get ready to spot some amazing animals in a habitat that looks incredibly authentic to the wild. We have started taking the Kilimanjaro Safari twice during our visits, once in the morning and once right as the sun is setting because we always seem to see different animal species during the day than we do in the evening.
Character Meet and Greets
Meeting the characters at the Animal Kingdom is a little extra special because they are usually decked out in there safari outfits. Mickey and Minnie are usually located at the Adventurers Outpost, however, make sure you download the My Disney Experience app to find every character experience available. Donald Duck was tucked away near the Dinosaur rides a few months ago.
Rivers of Light Nighttime Show
This is still a new show by Disney standards so plan to find a seat at least an hour or two before it starts if you don’t have FastPass seating. This is a gorgeous show using lights and water to tell a tale of nature. They spray water to create a story screen and reflect animal adventures on to it, while beautiful floats move among the river. This is the perfect way to end your day at the Animal Kingdom.

A Guide to Animal Kingdom’s Pandora
I believe the Kilimanjaro Safari’s would be my favorite of these and my family would probably choose Pandora The WORLD OF Avatar. I couldn’t let the littles miss the character meet and greets though.
I have read so many wonderful articles about the River of Light. I will make sure we get to see that next time we are at Animal Kingdom. The Kilimanjaro Safaris look exciting too.
We absolutely love the Animal Kingdom. We’ve only been once and we hope to remedy that soon!
I’ve never been to Animal Kingdom at night. Will have to check it out next time. Disney does know how to put on a fabulous light show.
Would love to visit them all. My kids will love it. Amazing attractions indeed!
I would love to go on a Disney cruise!
I know my family would love them all especially a Disney Cruise.
