Doll Clothes Superstore Review and Coupon Code

One of the best parts of playing with dolls as a child is dressing them up, but after a couple years of doll clothes shopping I’ve learnt that buying these outfits at the store will often cost you more than the doll itself.  However I am very excited to have found an amazing place to get all Lilly’s fun doll clothes and accessories from now on!
Doll Clothes Superstore sent me 2 outfits to review with Lilly, and I must say the craftsmanship is impeccable!  The seams are straight and even, the Velcro is done perfectly, and the designs are adorable.  The quality is much better than most of the outfits I’ve bought in the past.

Plus these outfits are less than a quarter of what I’ve spent on doll outfits in the store!  Now Lilly can have enough outfits to keep her babies and Barbies in style everyday!   Doll Clothes Superstore also sells twin doll outfits, perfect for Lilly’s Bitty Baby Twins she got for Christmas and Matching Girl and Doll Outfits.
We received the Bitty Baby Pink Dress and Barbie Pink and Lavender Glitter Dress to review.  As soon as the package came the outfits immediately made there way onto Lilly’s favorite Barbie and her precious Bitty Baby.

The Bitty Baby Pink Dress retails for $8.55
The Barbie Pink Lavender Glitter Dress retails for $4.25
These prices are awesome, but Doll Clothes Superstore is also offering a great deal for my readers, a 10% discount with no minimum purchase when using coupon code: lollipopsdcs
Lilly hasn’t taken her Bitty Baby’s New dress off and is very happy mommy got to review these items.  We will soon be stocking up her doll armoire with cute new outfits!

Lots of Hair Straighteners and Curling Irons on Clearence at Target! ~ I got the Remington Waving Wand!

I have been wanting to get a wand style curling iron for some time now.  However as a straightener addict who is addicted to her CHI flat iron, I didn’t know where to begin but knew I didn’t want to spend $100+ on one incase it ended up at the bottom of my hair product basket, like the rest of my curlers.

So today I was walking through the clearance section of Target (Lowell, Ma) and they had tons of wands on sale!  The clearance prices ranged from $7-$30 depending on the brand and style.  I have liked Remington in the past and considering that was the one marked down to $7.48, I grabbed it!
Most of the Remington wands were on sale, I chose the Remington Waving Wand.
I cant wait to try it out, I’ll post a review when I do!

Target Dollar Section Score

I was pretty excited as I flipped through these little nifty $1 finds at target Yesterday!
My children are all publicly educated but with all their learning disabilities I often feel that the average class day isn’t enough.  So I try to follow a moderated home schooling program along side what their learning in the classroom.  Because I have to do this on budgeted supplies I am always poking through dollar and clearance isles around back to school time.
I think these cute little books will be a great addition, the science and dinosaur books will need more of a mommy and me schedule but the phonics and reading ones should work out independently.
These are an awesome bargain, and I highly recommend them!

Free Bag at Victoria’s Secret Today! ~Love

I ran to the mall today to exchange a few things I had gotten for my birthday at Victoria’s Secret.  I did the return first mainly to see how much money I had to spend, then as I was poking around the “Pink” section looking for some comfy yoga pants 😉 I saw a sign saying they were giving away free bags with a $75 purchase.  I got pretty excited sense I was in desperate need of a cute bag to drag all my kids beach/pool stuff around.  When I got home and got the bag out of all the plastic wrap I was even more excited! It seems to be very well made, has zipper compartments, its cute, and HUGE!  I mean I can fit all our beach towels, sunblock, life jackets, the works in this thing.  I cant wait to pack it up!

Target Bargain: CHI Hair Straightener

While perusing the clearance section of Target Yesterday, I came across this mega deal!

If you use CHI products, you know there straighteners retail for over $100.  I got my first CHI about 10 years ago as a birthday gift after complaining non stop about how I couldn’t find a straight iron that would straighten my hair without leaving it a frizzy mess.
I have been hooked ever sense!  They leave my hair silky smooth with one swipe and they last a really long time (I would be replacing my drug store brands every couple months, these last years)

However with the price tag attached to them, I usually search ebay or wait for a holiday that I can ask for one from the hubby.
However as I was putting through Target yesterday, I thought I’d go down the back of the isles to get to the registers…. Where they put all the departments clearance.  As I walked closer to the pile of boxes that clearly had “CHI” across them, I thought for sure they were placed there by mistake.  Then I saw the clearance stickers!!! $29.98!!!
I threw it in the cart and walked swiftly to the price scanner, still not believing the price.  It was right!
Target right now has these amazing straighteners marked down from $99.99 to $29.98…. a savings of $70.01

My biggest money saving tool is thrift store clearance shopping! I love $1 sales, fill a bag sales, and an occasional 50% off sale. Don’t think for a second I am looking for rags, not in the least! My kids have nice brand name clothes for penny’s because I shop all sizes and am particular about what I buy.

In the basement I have 3-4 Rubbermaid bins full of clothes for each of the kids, I have brand new Seven for man kind jeans in Lilly’s bin for when she fits into a size 6 and similar items for the boys in different seasons and sizes.

Around me there are several thrift stores/consignment shops but I only shop a couple because I scout them out to make sure, a) they are clean and appear like an average store (not a junk store), and b) they are priced right! I will not spend over $5 for a used piece of clothing or toy, otherwise I could go to some nice discount department stores and get them new… Right?

If you haven’t tried thrift store shopping or have but were turned off by some over priced chain consignment shops, I suggest you scope out a handful and try to find one that works for you!

Plus, once your done with your finds, bring them back and try to resell them again and recoup even more of your clothing cost! 🙂

Here’s my Shopping Haul from Back on the Rack in Lowell… by the Chelmsford, Drum Hill Walmart:

I was so excited when I found this Coupon Code!

20% off this Memorial Day Weekend!

I have heard such great things about this DVD series and have been wanting get it for the kid’s sense I looked into it about 6 months ago.  However the $100+ price tag for the complete series kept making me postpone the purchase.  Of course while I was waiting more episodes where released to start the New Testament which is awesome but also meant getting the full series was even more $.  WELL I just ordered the complete 1-11 video series for $97.99!
I am so excited to have these in time for summer break, I have been looking for something the kids would find fun to aid me in their biblical teaching during the week, and this looks perfect.

It’s created by the “veggie tales” Creator, which my kids also like.

Follow the link over to “Whats in the Bible” add the DVD’s you want and in the final step of the check out process use the coupon code “MEMORIAL” and see the 20% savings, also receive free shipping on orders over $25!

The coupon code works on all there products, My OCD just made me “need” to buy the whole series.
