cars3

We have a house full of Lightening McQueen fans, so as you can imagine we are counting down the days till Cars 3 races into theaters.

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez (voice of Cristela Alonzo), with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!

Are your kids excited to see Lightening’s latest race?  My kids have been watching the newest trailer all day!  Check it out, this is going to be an awesome family movie!

While we wait for the CARS 3 release, Walt Disney Pictures has provided these adorable activities to get everyone in the racing spirit!

Disney Pirates of the Caribbean Movie: Dead Men Tell No Tales Printable Activity Packet

Did you know that a new Pirates of the Caribbean film is being released?  I didn’t until last week while the kids and I were at Hollywood Studios. We went in to see One Man’s Dream and stumbled upon the trailer for the upcoming release of Pirates of The Caribbean Movie: Dead Men Tell No Tales and it was AMAZING.

My kids are beyond excited that a 5th Pirates of The Caribbean Movie is about to be released, and they walked out of that preview in a pirate frenzy.  Based off the trailer, I foresee this being our all-time favorite movie from this franchise!

The kids were so excited that we “needed” to go straight over to the Pirates of The Caribbean ride at Magic Kingdom (which meant missing the rest of the day’s fastpasses, ugh!).  Plus, the pirate excitement didn’t end at the parks, as soon as we got home out came the pirate costumes, the fool’s gold, and of course all of the DVDs.

The Jack Sparrow fandom has been on overload this week, so we started completing the Dead Men Tell No Tales Activity Packet.
Our favorite activity so far is the “Creating A Spyglass” this added a fun prop to their costumes, that they haven’t taken off for days.

Are there any pirate fans in your family?  If so, make sure you download the Dead Men Tell No Tales Activity Packet  and get excited for the newest pirate adventure!

Pirates of The Caribbean Movie: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be in theaters everywhere May 26th, so get ready!
It has a rating of PG-13.

Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow in the all-new “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” The rip-roaring adventure finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea—notably Jack. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Brenton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy. At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitifully small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his very life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced.

Smurfs: The Lost Village in Theaters April 7th! #SmurfsMovie

Smurfs3_COPPA_wallpaper_1024x768

Both my husband and I grew up watching the Smurfs, so now every time a new Smurfs movie comes out we love being able to watch our kids enjoy the character we grew up adoring.

Last weekend my family was able to prescreen the newest Smurfs film that is set to be released on April 7th, Smurfs: The Lost Village.  This Smurfs movie is honestly my favorite movie to date!

About the Movie:
In this fully animated, all-new take on the Smurfs, a mysterious map sets Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a mysterious lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel does. Embarking on a rollercoaster journey full of action and danger, the Smurfs are on a course that leads to the discovery of the biggest secret in Smurf history!

Our Thoughts:
When leaving the theater all three children exclaimed “Smurfs: The Lost Village is the best Smurfs movie we’ve seen!”  and I have to agree.  It was jam packed with just enough comedy, drama, happy, and heart breaking moments to keep everyone’s attention locked on the screen.  I didn’t have to tell either twin to “shhhh” once, that tells you how much they enjoyed it!

This is a movie I definitely recommend for families this Spring!  It’s Smurftastic!
