Summer is here!  I love the summer months, we are able to get outside and explore.  However, with all the summer fun mom life also becomes a lot busier.  The kids are out of school and I am balancing keeping them busy and working full time from home.
Between sports practices, camps, and work projects my summer hours are tight and I don’t have a lot of extra time to waste sitting in the doctors office.  This is why I am a huge fan of Doctor On Demand.  The Leading on-demand video medicine provider Doctor On Demand provides fast, easy and cost-effective care with board-certified physicians, psychiatrists, and licensed psychologists on your smartphone or computer.  You simply download the Doctor On Demand app, provide a list of your symptoms, and instantly connect to a provider licensed in your state for a video visit from anywhere you’d like.
I used Doctor On Demand today for a rash I have on the arch of my foot.  The rash has been a nuisance but not painful or bothersome enough to schedule a doctor’s appointment during one of my busiest times of the year.  Luckily Doctor On Demand came to the rescue, I was easily able to turn on the app and connect with a doctor immediately.  I was able to send pictures to Dr. Sullivan along with video chatting so that she could get a great visual and then she called me in a prescription for an antibacterial cream and an anti itch lotion.  Both prescriptions were ready at my pharmacy within an hour, I simply ran through the pharmacy drive-thru on my way to pick up my oldest from camp. Now my rash is on its way to being healed.
I will definitely be using Doctor On Demand again in the future as a potential solution for all the minor medical issues that come up and interfere with daily life such as my allergies and urinary tract infections.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and among the most prevalent mental health issues are stress, anxiety and depression, which affect over 100 million Americans and nearly 50% of the American adult population.
Doctor On Demand’s “Moms, Money and Mental Health” report  revealed that 1 in 4 moms noted that suffering from stress and anxiety impacts their ability to parent to the best of their ability.  This is something I can absolutely relate with.  As a busy mom I feel the stress and anxiety on a day to day basis so reading that 75% of moms are unable to devote more than 1 hour a day to “me time” didn’t surprise me at all.
Doctor On Demand’s “Moms, Money and Mental Health” report also uncovered that the top underlying causes of stress and anxiety among moms, is healthcare and finances.

Doctor On Demand is a great way to seek mental health services as a busy mom.  They provide services for mood swings, panic, anger, concentration, trauma, relationship counseling, grief and much more.  These services are available on your schedule from your anywhere you feel comfortable from your phone or computer.

Ready to try Doctor On Demand and start taking care of you?  Download the app now and experience your first Doctor on Demand visit!

In support of Mental Health Awareness Month and its commitment to delivering compassionate care year-round, Doctor On Demand will cover the cost of a visit with a board-certified physician to provide an assessment and recommendation for treatment for those suffering from stress, anxiety, and depression.
