Bright and Cozy with FabKids!

*This Post is Sponsored by FabKids*
It is starting to get chilly outside and that means putting sundresses away for cozy sweaters and trading the flip flops in for sneakers.  Luckily FabKids has Lilly covered this month.  Our September outfit pick represents her style completely.  She keeps telling me “this sweater is the comfiest shirt I’ve ever worn, and its pretty too!”

The sneakers are also a huge hit!  When she opened the package and saw the bright gold and pink popping out of the plastic, she immediately started jumping up and down.  There bright, sparkly, and over the top, which happens to be my 6 year old’s style of choice.
This outfit name is “Denim Party Animal” which include the “Leopard Fuzzy Sweater” along with a pair of Jeggings.
The sneakers are the “Fab Star Trainers.

-Test to make sure that the frosting can make and hold a stiff peak.
-If ready scoop the frosting into a pastry bag with a large tip.

-Start by frosting on the outside edge of the cupcake working to the center of the cupcake.

Mommy’s Survival Bag for After School Activities! #EatASnickers

The fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the cool dry air, boots, sweaters, and of course the flavored lattes.  However it also comes with a big adjustment.  My family moves swiftly from sunny beach days with no set schedule to highly structured school days packed with activities.  While I enjoy seeing my kids enjoying the sports and extra curricular activities their passionate about, it also takes a lot out of this mommy!
My schedule this fall is even crazier than last year.  Anthony is now in middle school, which means an earlier day.  He has to be up before the sun and off to school.  While he is juggling the new middle school work load, he has signed up for cross country, the science club, and as of yesterday band!  He has me running around everyday of the week.
The twins are slightly less needy with both playing soccer, and Lilly also taking dance lessons.
Days are certainly busy.  School pick ups, practices, meets, games, and shows, have me running on empty before we even pull in the driveway to start our evening routine.  That’s a big problem for a mommy!  Dinner still needs to be cooked, homework help still needs to be done, there is baths to be given and stories to be read.
Through trial and error I learned that I needed to keep a little bag of essentials on me during my afternoon, and Saturday morning mommy hustle.  I am driving all over the city in traffic, sitting in stadiums and on fields and its easy to forget that I need to keep myself hydrated and nourished so that I can keep on going long after we get home for the day. Without turning into a Momzilla!
Here are the staples in my Mommy on the Go Bag:
1. Water, if I don’t bring along a water bottle, I’d go all afternoon without drinking anything and its that’s the easiest way to wear myself down.
2. SNICKERS® Bar, it’s my favorite candy bar.  Always has been!  The peanuts, caramel and chocolate always give me that extra boost every mommy needs mid day.
I love sweets and during a never ending soccer game or listening to drum practice, it brings me to my happy place!  I stock up while I’m at Walmart and then hide them away on a top shelf.
3.  Grapes, easy, quick, and they go great with my SNICKERS® bar.  Plus if the kids ask me what I’m snacking on, I show them the grapes.  I surely am not letting them get their fingers on my snickers!  That is my mommy secret.
4. Gum, to keep the breath fresh.  Plus the kids assume I’m chewing gum when I’m sneaking bites of my candy bar.
5. Chapstick, along with activities and cool air comes dry lips.  For some reason sitting in the mini van for hours with the kids fighting over wanting the heat on or the air conditioner, dries my lips out even faster.
6. Hand cream, like with my lips the fall bring dry skin.  Fresh colder air, especially on a windy day on the field can leave my skin tight and cracked.  So I always make sure to have a small lotion on me.
7.  iPad, because while yes, I love seeing the little ones score goals and Anthony finish a race.  There are some days, that I have had enough.  I’m tired and I just want to sit in the shade and finish a book or play Tsum Tsum mindlessly.
8. Antibacterial wipes and baby wipes, because I am surrounded by dirty germy hands all afternoon.  The kids need to be cleaned up between events and Mommy’s cant get sick.
9. Neosporin and Band-Aids, this probably goes with out explaining, but I have soccer players, a cross country runner, and a hip hop dancer.  We always need band-aids!
10. Business cards or mommy cards,  I meat moms everyday, a lot of moms.  I like being able to easily give them my email address and phone number so that we can keep in touch during the season.

Keeping all these things on hand keep my stress levels down and my tummy happy.  Without them, I call myself Momzilla, Make sure to take this fun quiz to see who you turn into when your hungry and let me know how you enjoy your SNICKERS®.

Macy’s will be hosting a Fashion’s Front Row Event in Boston

“I am a member of the Everywhere Society and Everywhere has provided me with compensation for this post. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.”
Fashion Week has always been on my bucket list of must do’s, however with three kids it will be a while before I get to strut the sidewalks of NYC catching runway shows.  However I’ll be pretending I’m in NYC next week when Macy’s brings the glamour of Fashion Week right here to Boston at the Fashion’s Front Row event!

Macy’s will be hosting a shopping party to help everyone put their best you forward this fall!  There will be a fashion presentation, mini makeovers, and manicures.  This sounds like the perfect mommy night out to me.
I am excited to check out the newest trends for fall and try to step up my style game.  The kids are all back to school and that means I’m able to grab a little extra me time.  I think it would be best spent finding a great style medium that is compatible with busy mommy life however doesn’t include yoga pants.
I’m also excited for the mini makeovers from Lancome!  They are one of my favorite beauty brands.  This is going to be a great night!
Do you need a mommy’s night out too?  Great news, this event is Free! So head on over and lets be fabulous together.

Make Lunch Boxes Fun ~ Nutella Kabobs and Caramel Apples! #WishIHadAWetOnes

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Wet Ones®. The opinions and text are all mine.
It’s that time of year again!  Time to think up fun and delicious lunch box ideas for our little students.  Nutella Kabobs are one of my kids absolute favorite things to see in their lunchbox.
Grab a three sectioned lunch container and get ready to make something yummy!

Cut up the apples so that they are a good dipping stick size. and fill one section of your lunch container with apples.
Fill the other side with your favorite caramel dipping sauce.  Caramel dipping sauce doesn’t need to be heated or refrigerated so its a perfect sweet treat for lunch boxes.
Next you’ll want to chop up the fruit you want to go on the Nutella Kabobs.  I chose strawberries because my kids love dipping their strawberries in Nutella at home.  Bananas or grapes would also work great.
Make a couple Nutella sandwiches.  Then cut the crust off and cut the sandwiches into little squares.
Finally the fun part, building the kabobs.  I used cocktail straws because I don’t like the idea of sending my little ones to school with toothpicks or actual kabob sticks.  I have images in my head of a phone call from the principle saying “Aidan poked so and so’s eye out”  I know its unlikely, but its my mommy issue.  The cocktail straws are the perfect length anyways.
Just layer a couple pieces of fruit, then a Nutella sandwich square, and repeat.
Now you have yourself a fun and yummy lunch that will bring a smile to your child’s face.  However you know what keeps a smile on my face?  Getting through school germ free.  So I always turn to America’s #1 hand wipe.
With the kids eating this lunch with their little germ filled hands, I like to pack a Wet Ones Singles in their lunch box.  They are the perfect solution when packing school lunches.  Small and easy to pack, cleans hands, plus is highly effective killing 99.9% of germs.
Best of all their Aloe formula doesn’t dry or irritate my kids sensitive skin.  This is really important in the winter time, when my kids skin is extra dry.
