This is a quick and easy way to make a Churro like snack out of premade tortilla’s!
1 dozen flour tortillas, any brand
1-2 cups cooking oil
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
Before you do anything else, prepare a paper bag with the sugar and cinnamon, shake it up so that it’s evenly mixed.
Fill a shallow frying pan with about an inch of cooking oil and place it over medium heat for about five minutes till, its just starting to sizzle.

Stack up four to five flour tortillas and cut through them, creating long strips. Drop four to five individual strips into the hot oil at a time. Let tortilla strip cook for about a minute before flipping and leaving in the oil for another fifteen to thirty seconds. Drain tortilla chips before dropping them into the bag of sugar and cinnamon– it helps to have someone there to do this while you cook the rest of the chips.
Once the chips are completely covered in the sugar mixture, place them on a plate to cool and continue making the rest of the tortilla chips in the hot oil.

    Doing them this way reminds me of the Elephant Ears confection we get at the county fair every year. So greasy yet so very yummy.

    I've done this… It's a kid please. I've also made tortilla pizzas a bunch of times too. Good job spreading shortcuts! We could all use them. =)
