Things I Love ~ February Faves

Its the dead of winter in New England and this winter has been dreadfully cold and long one.  I cant remember a winter this cold, we haven’t had a nice day in weeks, maybe months!  However I hear birds this morning!!! Yay!  Maybe spring is coming soon?  Man I hope so, plus the sun is out when I wake up with the kids now and when Anthony s getting off the bus!  So the days are getting longer.  Now if we could only break 40 degrees this week, that would be awesome!
So here are the things I’m loving this month.  These are the the things that have kept me running through the cold dreary days and looking up in this new year.

It has been so cold, I have been using my Keurig none stop.  I use it to make coffee, hot chocolate, instant soup, cider, and more.  Its so much faster and easier than boiling a pot of water, plus the kids think their just like Mommy and Daddy when they get their hot chocolate made with our coffee in the morning.
The kids got this game a few months ago and have been collecting the figures ever sense.  This is my favorite xbox game the kids have, actually my favorite video game they have ever played!  Its by Disney so it was a win before they even played it, but now that I’ve sat and watched it over the last few months, I love it.  Its great for all ages, I dont have to worry about violence and other problem that some games come with, and they have all the kids favorite characters even Tangled and Frozen characters for Lilly.  This has been a great activity for the many cold snowy evenings we’ve had this year.
The hubby got me an iPad mini for Christmas and I am addicted to it!  I think its the perfect size for me, I had the regular size iPad at one time but it got passed down to the kids because I didn’t use it much.   I used my phone instead for about a year, but was killing my iPhone battery withing a couple of hours of waking up.  Between reading, surfing the internet, emails, and blogging my iPhone battery wasn’t enough and I hate carrying my laptop around.  The iPad mini was a perfect solution for me and now I am addicted!  It fits in practically every bag I own and it is easy to pull out and use everywhere.

It’s-a-10 Miracle Leave-in Plus Keratin

I have frizzy hair that becomes dry frequently, even more so in the summer, but my hair is also very fine.  So it is hard to find a leave-in conditioner that doesn’t way down my hair or cause it to become greasy.  My stylist was using this at the last salon I visited and I was surprised my hair still felt light weight.  I decided to try it out at home and I am now in love with it!

Organic Vitamin C Serum

I received this serum to review last month and I am very pleased with it.  I use it in-between my cleanser and my face creams.  When i put a few drops on my fingers I was a bit nervous that it would be to oily for my skin (which most serums are)  however this serum is perfect for my skin, it dries fast and feels fresh.  I also like the tightening feel it gives my skin as it is absorbs.

Kong Dog Toy Review and Giveaway

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

One of the first toys we got for our puggle Missile when he was a puppy was a classic Kong toy.  He still loves his classic Kong and it keeps him entertained for a good chunk of time as he tries to lick out all the filling.
However now that he has the Kong Stuff-A-Ball from EntirelyPets he goes crazy every time he sees me pull out the can off stuff’n or biscuits.  The side inserts take him longer to lick out the Kong Stuff’n and the soft sides clean his teeth and massage his gums.  Also the middle is big enough to fit most dog treats.  Plus we can play ball with it!
And this is our quiet and content dog, busy with his favorite toy and treat!

RavPower Luster Series Power Bank Review

I received these pretty power banks to review from RavPower.  I received two power banks from their new Luster Series, the 3000mAh in Golden and the 6000mAh in Pink.
These days as both a mom and blogger I use my phone and iPad constantly and I can go through a fully charged battery very quickly between taking pictures of the kids, reading, and surfing the web.

Last month we took a family vacation to Disney World.  While I was busy taking pictures of the kids, using the park apps for tickets and maps, and calling to check in with other family members in the park, I remember looking down at my phone by noon and having less than 10% battery left.  There was a freak out moment when I realized I still had another 10 magical hours till I would be back at the hotel.  So I had to take a break, sadly, missing out on some of those smiling moments with the kids and charge my phone.  However if I had this Power Bank then I would have simply plugged my iPhone in, dropped it in my bag, and continued on with my fun.
Now that I have experienced the RavPower power bank, I don’t go with out it.  These power banks are now a staple in my pocketbook and I haven’t had to stress about my battery dyeing sense the first time I plugged them in!
The RavPower Luster Series is also a fun feminine series that comes in shimmering gold, bright pink, along with a beautiful shade of blue and of coarse black.
Plus they have built in flashlights and the 3000 mAh come with a clip attached.  The sleek, lightweight design is perfect for any mom on the go!
I will definitely be getting a coordinating 6000 mAh power bank for each of the kids iPads before our next vacation.  I look forward to no longer needing to search airports for enough outlets to charge everyone’s devices during layovers!

Grace Scarf by Rethreaded Review ~ Fashion with a Cause

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I love my new “Grace Scarf”!  I am a big fan of scarves and have dozens but none like the Grace Scarf by Rethreaded.  Sure it is an absolutely beautiful and stylish scarf that can be worn in so many ways.  However that’s not what truly brings this scarf close to my heart!

Rethreaded is an amazing faith based company focusing on people who have been effected by sex trade.
Rethreaded Sewing a New Story Local Impact Project:
“Rethreaded provides a four-month holistic training program for women in the Jacksonville, Florida area who are coming out of lives of addiction, violence, human trafficking, and prostitution. Many of these women leave prison with felony records, creating significant challenges to employment. Rethreaded is a safe place where women are paid a living wage to become artisan seamstresses and “upcycle” donated t-shirts into new creations for sale.”

Rethreaded Beliefs:
“We believe that God is the purest source of Love and seek to love others like God has loved us.  The greatest model of love is shown through the grace, mercy, and compassion of Jesus.  We will humbly try to follow His perfect example of what perfect love tangibly looks like in a very messy world. We trust that love can guide our business and help us overcome anything that comes our way”
This is an amazing organization not only with great products to sell but best of all with great values.
